Solidian Amplification · amps and pedals for heavy music
Valve heads, a bass pre-amp and stompboxes modelled component by component, voiced for crust, d-beat, sludge and the low end of djent. VST3, AU and LV2 for macOS, Windows and Linux.
The Swedish buzzsaw, rebuilt stage by stage: asymmetric silicon diodes in the feedback loop, an op-amp pushed into its rails, a germanium pair for the sputter, and the COLOR MIX gyrators that carve the saw. VINTAGE and CUSTOM modes, 7, 9 or 12 V supply, gate, TIGHT, blend, and its own cabinet for going straight to the desk.

Seven plug-ins that work as one rig. The pedals sit in front of the heads, MARÉ moves ECO over SOLIDIAN LINK, and every unit carries its own cabinets and mic placement.

High-gain valve head
Three channels in one head, after the British super lead, the 80s master-volume head and the modern American lead channel. Voiced to sit behind SERRA.

Bass pre-amp and drive
One pedal for the whole low end, from crust and powerviolence to modern djent clank. Seven engines, a split that keeps the lows clean, and a graphic EQ.

Desert fuzz amplifier
A valve head with a fuzz built in, made for stoner, desert rock and the warm, wide end of sludge.

Fuzz pedal
Three fuzz circuits in one orange box, with the guitar's volume knob modelled in front so it cleans up the way a real fuzz does.

Analogue echo
A bucket-brigade delay modelled down to every clock tick, so time changes bend the pitch and long repeats darken like the chip.

MARÉ is included. An expression pedal that also runs as an LFO or an envelope follower, with range, curve and smoothing. It moves ECO over SOLIDIAN LINK and sends MIDI CC to anything else.
MARÉ moving ECO
Every circuit is solved sample by sample, then checked: aliasing, latency, CPU, clicks on every control and the behaviour at any sample rate.
Oversampling for offline renders, with 2×, 4× and 8× live, all relative to 48 kHz so a preset sounds the same at any sample rate.
Fixed latency on BASALTO at 48 kHz. ECO and MARÉ add none at all.
Antiderivative anti-aliasing on the clippers, so the top end stays clean when the gain is up.
Every plug-in passes pluginval at its strictest setting before release.
Buy the units that fit your band, or take a whole rig for less. MARÉ comes free with ECO and with every rig.
For crust, hardcore and metal: guitar and bass in one purchase.
For stoner, desert rock and fuzz: the amp, the fuzz and the echo.
All seven plug-ins, and every new Solidian release in version 1.x.
Try before you buy
Every paid plug-in installs as a trial. Play it in your sessions, render with it, run it through your own rig.
One installer per system with every Solidian plug-in. Nothing to register.
Every control, preset, cabinet and oversampling mode works, with no noise and no nag screens.
After 14 days the plug-in drops out for a moment once a minute. Your sessions keep loading and your settings stay.
Paste the licence key from your Gumroad receipt into the plug-in. The same install becomes the full version.
AUv3 versions for AUM, Loopy Pro, GarageBand and Logic Pro for iPad are on the table. Join the list and we will build them when enough players ask.
Anything else, write to the address on your Gumroad receipt.
Any host that loads VST3 or AU on macOS, VST3 on Windows, or VST3 and LV2 on Linux: Studio One, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Reaper, Cubase, Bitwig, FL Studio and more. Each plug-in also runs as a standalone app for practising.
Not yet. AAX needs a separate certification from Avid, and it is on the list after the iPad versions.
Your licence key activates up to three of your own computers at the same time, so the studio Mac and the laptop are both covered.
Every 1.x update is free and arrives through your Gumroad library, where you can download the latest installers at any time.
Checkout runs on Gumroad with card or PayPal. Your receipt carries the licence key and the download links.
