Privacy
Last updated 8 October 2026
The website has no tracking cookies, no analytics and no trackers. The plug-ins only contact Solidian to activate a licence and to check it once a week. That is all the data there is, and this page lists every piece of it.
Who is responsible
Solidian Amplification. For anything on this page, write to solidianamplification@gmail.com.
This website
The site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser. Fonts, images and audio come from the site itself, so your browser talks to no one else while you read or listen. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it has to check that a visitor is not a bot. Solidian does not keep those logs.
Buying
Purchases are made through Gumroad, which handles payment, tax and your receipt under its own privacy policy. Gumroad shares the details of your purchase with Solidian, as it does for every seller. The licence service keeps only your e-mail address, the product, the order number and the licence key, so the licence can be managed and you can be helped if you lose it. Solidian never sees your card details.
If you buy outside Gumroad or receive a key from Solidian, the key is stored with the e-mail address it was sent to.
Trial
The trial dates are stored only on your computer. Nothing is sent anywhere during the trial.
Activation and the weekly check
When you activate a plug-in, it sends:
- your licence key;
- a computer code: 20 characters derived from your computer that identify it without revealing anything about it;
- your computer's name (for example "Studio iMac"), so you can tell your computers apart when you free one;
- which plug-in is asking.
About once a week afterwards it sends the same, without the computer name, to confirm the licence is still valid.
Solidian keeps, for each licence key: the plug-ins it unlocks, the buyer's e-mail, the computers it is active on (code, name, first and last activation date) and whether it has been refunded or withdrawn. IP addresses are not stored. Gumroad keys are also checked with Gumroad each time, to confirm the purchase is still valid.
Offline activation works the same way, through the activation page instead of the plug-in.
Why
- To deliver the licence you bought: activation, moving it between your computers, replacing a lost key. This is needed to perform the purchase contract (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).
- To stop one licence being shared beyond its computer limit, and refunded purchases from staying active. This is Solidian's legitimate interest in protecting its work (article 6(1)(f)).
The data is not used for marketing, not sold, not shared with anyone else, and not used for automated decisions about you beyond the computer limit.
Who processes it
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the activation service and its database.
- Gumroad runs the store and confirms purchases.
Both may process data outside the European Union, under the safeguards described in their own policies (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
How long
Licence records are kept for as long as the licence exists, because the licence is perpetual and you may need to reactivate it years from now. A computer leaves the record as soon as you deactivate it. You can ask for your e-mail and computer names to be erased at any time: the licence keeps working. You can also ask for the whole record to be deleted, which ends the licence's ability to activate.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data held about you, correct it, erase it, limit or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Write to the address above; you will get an answer within a month. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD, or the authority where you live.
